New Post in Santiago DR

To be eligible you must have served in the US Army, US Navy, US Marine Corps, US Air Force, and US Coast Guard, during a time of war, have been honorably discharged, or still on active duty.

The new Post will be sponsored by the Department of Florida American Legion. We will keep you posted as to the time and place for the organizational meeting. Please have your DD214 or Discharge papers available.

Please send me your name, address, location, and branch of service.

How many Dominicans would meet the criteria, how many would really participate? If you want to have a viable base that would give legitimacy to X-Organization you should consider broadening the criteria.

Then is the issue with personal identity. Do you think people will just send their personal info? Think not. If you're serious, you should at least provide a means or venue that can be considered legitimate and verifiable.

Just a suggestion.

Why wont Dminincan Republic prosper?

Because Dominicans are just plain to Stupid

Did you read the entire post and where did you see we are asking anyone to post their personal info online. Again this is only for US Veterans living in the Dominican Republic, The American Legion is the most respectful organization that fights and helps Active Duty Members and Veterans. I am a Disabled Veteran and I will help every Veterans to receive their benefits and to help them file for compensation. Thank you

Well first of all you didn't state or at least clarify that this pertained to those "U.S. veterans Living in Santiago". Second you didn't provide much detail about the process. Third If I did live in santiago, do you think I would trust a "A Local Dominican Organization" with my U.S. credentials i.e. personal info?

Lastly perhaps you should re-read my post, as it wasn't intended to incite your intelligence, initiative or hostility.

WOW!!! My friend this is THE AMERICAN LEGION if you are an ex military you should definitely knows who they are. It is not a Dominican organization and this is only for serious individuals that have fought and served their country and now are in need to get all of their benefits.

If you don't have anything constructive to add please don't waste our time. UH UH

Good News, it´s about time!!

Seems like something I´d be interested in, but would like to conduct a face-to-face since I am in-ctry.

I am an honorable retired U.S. Military Vet and would like to meet after New Years to discuss the possibilities of becoming a member.

I do have future plans of living here as a resident in the D.R. in 2010.

For personal response, contact me with your office current location: zipperzen777@hotmail.com

Thank you,

U.S. Army Retired
