The issue with American Legion is that, it's only useful for veteran that been in combat, so if you almost got into a fight, you need not applied, they are very picky on those requirements. Organizations like Disable Veteran of America, Florida dept of Veterans Affairs, amongst other will assist all US veterans in getting the entitlement they earn without any preconditions. I welcome the initiative, because numerous veterans in country could have a monthly pay check coming their way.
