price controls are in place to protect CONSUMERS, anthonyc. yes, i know it will surprise you, but they are there to protect the guys that buy, not the guys that sell. only you can be this stupid.

Right. Sure.

Seeing as now we know your naivete can I interest you in a bridge in Brooklyn? Slightly used. Owned by a little old lady who used it only on Sundays to get to church.

Next your going to tell me that grants to alternative energy companies aren't payback for political contributions and support.

There is deep corruption in the US - also the corn ethanol business, arms manufacture etc. etc.

It costs huge amounts of money to get elected in the US. In the UK, for example, there are strict limits to spending in political campaigns and no tv adverts. TV channels carry free short programs on behalf of the political parties.
There is also intense scrutiny of politicians and political party accounts.

i guess someone there does not want the political process to be bought and paid for by the people who have the most money. they want to see a democracy. types like you want to see a plutocracy.
