The National Drug Control agency said Monday that Briton Bob Allen George and Norwegian Christian Lindstad were arrested after agents confiscated 300 budding marijuana plants and hundreds more that had just been reaped on a small farm near Sosua, a north coast beach town. Embassy officials did not immediately return calls, and it was not clear if the two foreigners had lawyers. Their hometowns were not released. Authorities also detained a Dominican and a Haitian who took care of the alleged pot farm, which Lebron says is on land owned by Lindstad's father. http://www.taiwannews.com.tw/etn/news_content.php?id=1792169 ![]() ![]() |

Did not realize a report from the DR about low level drug activity would actually make international headlines. I mean this was not no major drug operation, that made it on World News Tonight. These were just a couple of enterprising guys, runing a small micro business, who just wanted to provide a service to the tourist industry, produced and sold their product directly from the source. They ran into some bad luck and had to close........ C'est La Vie................ Edited on 12/19/2011 11:50 PM by guillermone. |
