This past December 24th, Amelia Vega surprised the world with an impromptu secretive wedding at home; Amelia married NBA 'player' Al Horford. Everyone was surprised since Horford was dating another woman, and Amelia had given no indication of a romantic relationship with Horford.

I disagree, once you become a public figure you no longer belong to yourself. The lack or lost of privacy and public opinion comes along with the price paid for having newly acquired fame.

I myself were very surprise by her decision. I just do not see much compatibility and I wonder if money played a serious role.

My question is would she have married the same guy with out the the money and fame ?

Would she married a simple person big NO . All the guys she had dated had money and had a good family name. One thing I am happy that she did was that she married a Dominican. For some reason when a Dominican women becomes famous they almost never marry someone who is Dominican. Also, I have family in Florida around where Amelia used to live and it was well known that the Colombian was a was opportunistic and would always cheat on her. All I know that the only people complaining about the wedding are guys I wonder why ???
