I would like for anybody in this site to please tell me why is it that google maps don't have any information about the Dominican republic on its file. I travel a lot and is hard for me to find my way around the island when I drive alone, even in santo Domingo if is not the distrito nacional I'm lost. Now I went to Spain and I did ok using google maps on my Iphone and I even found info about communist Cuba, and poor Haiti but nothing about dr.

Those maps only show the large cities but thet do not show the roads or even the "towns" you have to get a map once you arrive to the DR. I usually get directions from friends and family in the areas i'm not familiar with

It is time for google maps to include street names in the Dom. Rep. !!! And not only the capital, but the whole country!!!

Here's the only and truely valid reason why you can't find any information about Santo Domingo on the google maps.......because guess what? You have to pay for any information about Santo Domingo, just like anything else, this is a money hungry region and nothing, I mean nothing in the Dominican Republic is.............FREE!!!!!!!!!.

Try wikimapdia.org. You might not get all the street names but you can scroll down to a point where you can easily view landmarks. One of my problems with the DR streets is most don't even have street signs! If you don't know or someone your with doesn't know then ur up the creek!

Nothing in this world is free!!!! Not even in the U.S.

It might not be where your living at but i can tell you right now here where i live and surrounding places theirs alot of stuff free and i don't mean junk, here if your hungry you can go to places where they give you food and theirs alot of these places, if you need clothes, furniture, lots of help unfortunately their are some places that don't have help for the people that really need it and where you live is one of those, its unfortunate when a city or state turns their head on peoples needs

Oh, and also if you don't know english well, the colleges and universities here give those classes for free
