Basically Domincan in-laws...... And back to the insults....... brasilenosisback, One does not need to be Dominican-born or have Dominican in-laws to see what's happening here. But you need to be here, as StillHere apparently is, and you currently are not. I would go so far as to say a foreigner, living in the Dominican Republic is in a better position to draw comparisons on the state of the nation, than a native-born Dominican living here, or amongst other Dominicans in a Dominican diaspora like Washington Heights in the USA. To Stillthere: my sister and brother ARE NOT my in-laws, they are my blood sister and brother because we have the same Brasilian mother. To Roystone: I lived in Brasil for 6 yrs. and have traveled there every year since 1998 for Carnival, with the exception of this past year and the years I spent in the U.S. Marines. Stillthere: Your insults do not bother me, I have other more important matters to worry about. Ok? so go back to Africa and find a tree to swing from. Brasilian4ever!!!!!!!!! So that still does not make them Dominican unless they are step brother/sister....... as you have said you are American-Brazilian, making your father American right and their father Dominican....is that right..... you may need to learn more about how a family the structure works....... As for the insults .... it seems that the first stone was cast by you.... I have not lowered myself to your level and feel no need too... With your more important things to do you have still found the time to keep writing back and insulting anyone that may not have your views on things... Both my brother and sister are dominican. They both were born on Dominican soil, my Mother was a Dominican citizen at the time of their births as she was legally married to their Dominican father. Indeed, mu mother is currently buried in the Dominican Republic. They have dual-citizenship as do I. Finally, you do not have to be born in the D.R. to be a citizen, Im not going to get into an explanation of that, because Im trying to rid myself of further conversations with you, if you havent noticed yet. Brazil has some similar problems to the Dominican Republic, but seems to be overcoming them. The Real has been stable for a long time now, the economy is progressing and in my view, could be the next China. Crime and corruption is still a problem, but they seem to be getting somewhere in that regard. It is one of the few countries where manufacturing is increasing and has been a world leader in bio-fuel development for a long time, going back to the days of the military dictatorship and the desire to reduce their dependence on imported oil, something this county should give more than just lip-service too. Destruction of rainforest in the Amazon basin is still a problem, however I believe more Brazilians are becoming environmentally aware. Unlike many Dominicans, Brazilians welcome foreigners, possibility because there is much ethnic diversity, especially in the south. How say you? I was curious as to how much the owners value this website compared to what I would value it. Especially in comparison to its main competitor DR1 Edited on 3/27/2012 5:57 PM by anthonyC.
