But as an American born half Dominican, you talk as if one of your parents is black. Am I correct with my assessment or did I misinterpret your comment? Please clarify and I will be able to further explain a few things to help you better understand Dominican racial identity. Meanwhile don't let statements on this forum ruffle your feathers. Most of what you read is just tetosterones in action. Mos of us are just a bunch of guys shooting the shit. Pay no mind and don't let yourself get off balance. Believe me most of the guys here are not racists. I know it sounds like it we hate each other, but deep down, when it is all over and if it comes to it, we will all get together and drink a case of beer and watch some sports. Pay no mind it is just a guy thing, a place for us to act up nothing more. Nevertheless, we do discuss serious issues and it is interesting to see the dynamics of this forum and how we interact with each other dealing with such a sensitive subject and whether you want to admit or not racial topics are still very much alive and well today in the DR as well as in the good old US of A.
