Discredited by who? Should we take your word for it? Don't make me laugh. I cited the more conservative number of 100, 000 deaths and you still have a "who cares" attitude trying to argue numbers with me instead of getting at the core of my argument, which you have avoided, namely that an untold MULTITUDE have died because lies and decetpion stemming from the Bush administration. And I'm still waiting to answer to my question: how are your tax dollars supprting me Mr. C? I'm really interested in this new theory of yours.

You show me one verafiable source which states that those deaths were of without a doubt innocent civilians!
I dare you!

Well in your case it is easy.
You live in NYC right?
NYC is a Taxpayer maintained population.
Your rapid Transit system is funded in large part by Federal tax Dollars. Your health/hospital system. Colleges/Universities, Police, Welfare... the list goes on and on.

I pay more in Federal Taxes than I can ever hope to receive services in return. So I am supporting you slakers.

The local bridges and tunnels support the transit authority.

BTW Florida doesn't have a state income tax, New York does. That means you're wrong again.

Che is dead. He died a coward's death, Now his image is used to sell T-shirts made by the Children of Mao to make the ALMIGHTY U.S. DOLLAR!!!!!!

Hypocracy has a name and it is called Communism.

Oh By the way, did you know that the recipient of your man crush advocated launching Nuclear weapons against civilians who's only crime was to disagree with him?

abc you are a fool. You complain about about capitalism and yet you use a prduct of capitalism to spread your ridiculous ideas. Good. More money for me.
Everytime you buy clothes. More money for me!
Everytime you buy food. More money for me!
Use a PC. More money for me!
Medicine. More money for me!

Every moment you live means more money for me!!!!
And thers is not a DAMN thing you can do about it.

I am not a communist - more a social democrat. The idea of a property owning democracy is appealing - the problem comes with people with no stake and no possibility of gaining a stake in society. It is Che's fight for the downtrodden and dispossessed that is appealing today. Many of the products you mention are produced by Companies and Co-operatives that operate in a socially responsible way. For example there is much respect for the founders and operators of Indian drug companies who although are fairly well rewarded by Indian standards make drugs available at low cost to me and billions of other people. For a time state capitalism form of communism did provide an answer but now many socialist states believe that responsible private enterprise has its place in society. You are right - I do pay money to AMÉRICA MÓVIL etc. who seem to have little do with enterprise and much to do with market power and monopoly through which shareholders get rich. You are wrong that there is nothing I can do about this situation. I can choose to buy products of socially responsible farmers, buy local produce not products of multi-nationals, recycle, in my business maintain fair business practice. I can choose to make solar collectors out of beer bottles instead of paying a corporation for gas and cook using a solar oven produced by a socially responsible organisation. The limited gas I use for transport can come from Venez and a state refinery here. in the last resort I could homestead in a remote region and go for self-sufficiency.

HUH!!!

http://www.retirementliving.com/RLstate1.html
FLORIDA
Sales Taxes
State Sales Tax: 6% (food, prescription and non-prescription drugs exempt). There are additional county sales taxes which could make the combined rate as high as 9.5%.
Gasoline Tax: 32.6 cents/gallon
Diesel Fuel Tax: * 28.5 cents/gallon
(Local taxes for gasoline vary from 5.5 cents to 17 cents, plus there is a 2.07% gasoline pollution tax.)
Cigarette Tax: 33.9 cents/pack of 20

Personal Income Taxes
No state income tax
Retirement Income: Not taxed. Starting in 2007, individuals, married couples, personal representatives of estates, and businesses are no longer required to file an annual intangible personal property tax return reporting their stocks, bonds, mutual funds, money market funds, shares of business trusts, and unsecured notes. For details, click here.

Property Taxes
All property is taxable at 100% of its just valuation. In certain counties and cities homeowners 65 and over can receive a homestead exemption from property tax of $25,000 if their household income, as defined by the federal tax code, is at or below $26,763 (single) or $30,046 (couples) per year (2007 figures). The income limitation is adjusted each year based on the cost of living index. In many instances the definition of household income excludes Social Security. Permanent residents may also be entitled to a homestead exemption regardless of age. Residents 65 and older are entitled to both exemptions ($50,000). The senior citizen's homestead exemption applies only to tax millage levied by the county or city, and does not apply to millage of school districts or other taxing authorities. The homestead exemption for all residents applies to all property taxes, not just city and county taxes. Annual increases in the assessment of homestead property are limited to 3% of the prior year's assessed value, or if lower, the percentage change in the Consumer Price Index for the prior, as long as there was no change in ownership. A 2006 law provides a property tax discount on homestead property owned by eligible veterans. To be eligible, a veteran must have an honorable discharge from military service, be at least 65 years old, be partially disabled with a permanent service connected disability all or a portion of which must be combat-related, and must have been a Florida resident at the time of entering military service. This discount is in addition to any other exemptions veterans now receive.

A 2007 law allows local governments to give those age 65 and above - with low incomes - an increased homestead exemption. Cities and counties have the option of doubling an existing homestead exemption on primary owner-occupied homes from $25,000 to $50,000. To qualify, taxpayers must have an annual income of $20,000 or less.

For more details on property taxes, click here, then find the link for the county property appraiser for the county in question. For more information on Florida property tax exemptions, click here.

Inheritance and Estate Taxes
There is no inheritance tax and only a limited estate tax.

To review information for new residents, click here.
For general information on Florida taxes, visit the Florida Department of Revenue site or call 800-352-3671.

* Includes local county taxes
