It is always sad when another country invades. However, the USA was trying to keep DR from becoming another Cuba. True, atrocities were committed but that happens in every war! Japan has, as I said they have a thriving country right now and are a strong USA ally. According to your logic all Haitians should resent Dominicans because of the massacre permitted By Trujillo. I'm not saying the USA doesn't make mistakes, we do, after all we are human. From USA point of view the invasion was to keep DR from becoming another Cuba and protect USA interests.. If you can recommend me some books on the invasion I'll gladly read them. And Balaguer was not a USA puppet. He refused many requests of the USA government. I know this for a fact. One of the problems with Che is he was so worried about destroying the USA he forgot about all of Cuba's domestic problems. Don't fall into that trap. It killed but also saved a lot of lives. The USA actually killed more Japanese using conventional bombs and if we didn't use nuclear weapons even more Japanese and definitely more Americans would have died. Justification of nuclear weapons upon a civilian population, in response of the attacks of Pearl Harbor would be like invading and killing Innocent Iraqis for the response of 911. Wow! “Think about that”. Would it be right for the Iraqis to set off a number of Dirty Bombs in U.S. as revenge for the illegal invasion of Iraq? And the murder of so many innocent Iraqis? And yes, people are trying to leave there homelands for the United States. Many, trust me when I say this really do not want to. Economic, political and medical reasons are the largest reason s why people want to come. How many Dominicans left D.R. when the United States strong man Trujillo came to power? How many of them had to go into exile. And again when the Puppet Balaguer came into power? What about those that left Cuba when Batista another American Homo came into power? Pinochet in Chile, etc! You know that in D.R. Bosch tried to reform the country in a non lethal way. But the Americans put a stop to that, and they ended up removing a democratically elected president. However, the USA was trying to keep DR from becoming another Cuba. True, atrocities were committed but that happens in every war! Let's move on, that happened a long time ago. USA didn't massacre Dominicans like Nazi Germany did to the Jews or Japan did to China in WW2 or like what Haiti did to DR for what, 20 something years? Bosch was elected but so was Hamas recently in Gaza. Just because someone was elected does not mean they are good for the country. I'm sure you'll agree with me. your favorite pres Bush was elected to two terms. The nuclear bomb used on Japan was necessary in my opinion. It was not because of Pearl Harbor it was because the Japanese had a rule never to surrender and they'd fight to death. This forced Americans to kill the Japanese instead of taking them as prisoners. it also would have resulted in many Americans dying should the USA have chose not to use the nuclear bomb. Japan, by the way, is now one of America's biggest allies and has a strong economy (well it did until global recession). If they can get over it then everyone should be able to! China is not a superpower yet. Yes we owe them a lot of money but they rely on us too. We buy a ton of their products. If anyone can claim to be another superpower it'd be Russia because of their natural resources (gas and oil) and missile technology (S-300 etc). But they have too many domestic problems to make that claim. I'm not really interested in seeing the Che movie anymore. From what I hear it shows Che in a positive light which is wrong. He was a fanatic, like his boss Fidel, who killed many innocent Cubans for no other reason except they didn't agree with his "revolution." He makes me sick. By the way you think the Jews forget WWII?
