I am sure you can post whatever you want, but my concern is how we want to portrait ourselves to the world who also happen to read these forums, the DR is the focus of many people who wants to put their money there, be investments, tourism or in any other form. I dont think you, me or any other proud Dominican would feel good about an article in a French forum where the belittle our presence in a subway, maybe that was not your intention, but read some of the responses from some other forum readers. I wonder if they would have said the same if the rider was Italian. |

Specially when their treatment of the arabs, africans and eastern europeans (verbally, printed or otherwise) is way worse than the way we treat the haitian inmigrants. Judging by the harsh ways that they use on their deportations of the above mentioned groups, we have been way too lenient with our inmigration problems. Edited on 12/30/2008 11:18 AM by Lautaro. Also, keep in mind Jade that it's Haitians including 1st generation born in DR, that go around the world claiming they are mistreated in DR. This is why a Haitian immigrant in DR being free to ride the metro is such an event worthy of being posted. It has nothing to do with feelings of superiority.
