Good post. As many things, the degree that one considers himself patriotic or nationalistic is a matter of perspective. We've seen great men/women throughout history who have labeled themselves as one or the other, or both. I, personally, thank Santana for delaying the conquest of DR by the Haitians (who are conquering DR by other means today).
