RE: Dominicans and Haitians
Don't ever look to the politican to solve our proublems. We must solve our problems from the very root. We our selves will solve the problems that plague humanity. It will first start in our homes, what we teach our children. Then our neighbors and our comunity and provence. Then the whole country will bend to the will of the people. Politics will not do it, there are egos to contend with. Teach our children that when we work together in harmony we can concur. We then will be able to solve any proublem that comes up ! Leave politics out of the equation.

RE: Dominicans and Haitians
People migrate to different countries on a daily bases in search of a stable economy and better living conditions. One should not fault Haiti for the immigrants that move to the DR no more than you can fault the DR for how many dominicans have migrated to the US. Ignorance and fear breeds hate and mistrust. Pride also breeds ignorance leaving a person to feel superior to another. Love thy neighbor! Truth be told, if people would recognize and own up to the fact that Haitians and Dominicans have far more in commun then music and food (i.e. heritage and complexions) you would see that the war is brother against brother.

Thank you dear friend and I hope this message would resonate with most Dominicans and Haitians. All that is due to xenophobe and old past resentments between the two Nations. However, I believe there will be a time when both Countries will learn to set aside those differences and such movement is in the work already. What most do not know, there has been greater diplomatic relations between DR and Haiti in recent year and now than ever before. I just found out that Haitians with valid Haitian pasaporte or with Visas get more rights than the media has portrayed they do not have. Which is a goog thing.

I have this idiot JabaoHaitian who seems to not being able to get the big picture. Yeah, he is on ignore and time out on some other threat called "HOW IS DAILY LIVING IN HAITI" that of which I am sure he is trying to have his last words in right about now and typical idiot falls for the bait each time.

Anyway man, you are right 100% thus I agree with you.

Or as I like to tell people, same continent, different port. Unlike the way many Europeans traveled here, most people of color (i might add) who now reside in the Americas which include the Carribean have ancestry who were dropped off onto different ports after being taken from that 'little' continent across the Atlantic. Yes, we may have some Indian, Spanish, or European heritage now but chocolate is chocolate and skin doesn't lie. People will change because they want to change but since we are imperfect we can only allow Jehovah to bring about such a perfect change.

I have to disagree with the above not in the term of race division rather. The africans in the americas have evolved and adapted the cultures of others thus the change was forced and wasn't deliberately. I think we must embrace one race which is the human race and respect each other. We can't go back in time and Africans are also to blame for selling there own and ended up victims of a vicious business that was very profitable. We are a diversified group of people that needs to be aware of each other for certain but also be careful of pushing something down the throats for not claiming a certain part of their heritage. I say live and let live, everyone has the right to feel how they want. Problem arises when we start forcing one to think like the other. Race is a very complicated issue among negros let alone whites. The difference is they know when to call a truce for economic control over all. Something negros/mulattos/indigenous failed to master.

BtW, hay I like that analogy..both had very abusive dads and treated their mother bad. Now one can say one father had a better or worse relationship with mother and her children took a bat cross their dads head to never come around the house again while the other yearns to be close with his dad and tries to be optimistic about their father. What do you think of that?

RE: Dominicans and Haitians
Yes Jabao...LOL
my best analogy thus far: One father (France) was very abusive to his bastard child (slaves of the colony of Saint-Domingue) and that bastard child (now Haiti) couldn't take it anymore and knocked pops out. The other father (Spain) was less abusive nevertheless he was very mean to his offspring (slaves and inhabitants of the colony of Santo Domingo). The oldest child (Haiti) soon controlled his younger brother (now called Spanish Haiti) becuz he felt as if the youngest one couldn't defend himself from poppa (France and Spain). Bastard child (Haiti) bullied and bossed younger one around until younger one (now Dominican Republic) got mad and busted older one in the lip. Both brothers have been at odds ever since.

RE: Dominicans and Haitians
Any thoughts about this (in my opinion) ¨Cold War¨ between Preval and the Haitian Parliament?
Peace is a lie, there is only passion.
Through passion, I gain strength.
Through strength, I gain power.
Through power, I gain victory.
Through victory, my chains are broken.
The Force shall free me.
