My question is, how come the illegal immigrant Haitians in D.R. not doing the same for their offspring. Get them Haitian documents, any document is better then no document. Any passport is better then no passport, that why he or she can leave the island if they choose to. Yours truly Chillaxin201 |

They want to mix with us because they think we are better. But that's not true. Dominicans are different, not better. They will apply for Haitians document as we start cleaning the JCE records. Only those born to a Dominican parent (not a Haitian pretending to be Dominican) should be allow to stay. |

Yours truly Chillaxin201 thats exactly what i believe too. since the dominican goverment is refusing papers to those born to illegals why cant they apply to the hatian embassy to get those papers. suposedly the hatian goverment doesnt recognize those born outside of the country as citezenz even if their parents were hatian nationals. i think thats stupid and they really need to change that so that way all these dominican born hatians can get their papers so that they can legally leave the country if they so wish or get signed to play baseball like in the last couple of videos you posted. its up 2 the haitain goverment to make that decision... ![]() |

Well if they fail to recognize there countrymen’s children. They are just as much to blame as the Dominicans they blame. Why wouldn’t they want to have a major league baseball player among there ranks |

All the money spent defaming DR on this matter could have easily helped pay for transport for parents to get their papers in Haiti, and then get the kids papers in the Haitian embassies/consulates in DR - but no!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! they have to prove a point, those idiots! |

The Haitian Constitution does provide Haitians born outside Haiti with a nationality. This is how the Haitian Constitution reads: ARTICLE 11: Any person born of a Haitian father or Haitian mother who are themselves native-born Haitians and have never renounced their nationality possesses Haitian nationality at the time of birth. 1. Since Haitians are not naturalized in DR they are stil Haitians and their descendants are fully Haitains even if they are born in DR 2. The DR born Haitians were never supposed to be documented and we all know that. Only those who hold a legal resident statutus (not a CEA work permit-those are considered in transit) can obtain legalization My point is that you guys are thinking hard on an issue that has a clear solution. If a Haitian is born in DR, Dominican can only testify to the birth by giving them a birth certificate but we cannot give them nationality or citizenship. |

And it is true Haitians consider themselves to be inferior to Dominicans, that's why they want their children to be Dominicans and not haitians. Ask any haitian if they are haitian, they will refuse to acept it and will deny it, sometimes in a violent manner. I've seen it. |
