I'll bet those two motherf*ckers would renounce their nationality as soon as one of our cibaeñas told them to do so. As one of their own intellectuals (Jean Price-Mars) once said, one of their main beefs against us is that our women would not give them the time of the day. Once one of our ladies (and I mean our creme de la creme, not the chopa trash that one would regularly find prostituting herself on the cabarets of Port-Au-Prince) so much as smile in their direction, they transform themselves, as if by magic, in some of our staunchest defenders, so to speak. Forgive me for my bluntness, but I'm mightily fed up of all this DR vs. HT issue.

They do love our ladies (regardless of all the 'prostitute' stigma).

Indeed....but "our ladies" don't love them back.......unless they are "working girls".

Let me tell you, and I know most here know this:

One thing Dominicans hate is to be labeled.......

In the DR, being friends with Haitians gets you labeled. (Granted, not all Dominicans will label you).

"Things" have gotten better but there was a time in the DR that befriending a Haitian was taboo.

There aren't many Dominican women out there who would give a Haitian the time of day........one of the many reasons is that they don't want their neighbors, famiy and friends to label them.

Right or wrong, it's a fact.

think of the class though papa. im sure if a dominican girl that shared a simular class with a haitian wouldn't have as much of a problem being with a haitian then say an amelia vega look alike.
Mira, the higher class the Dominican has, the less chance a Haitian have to "land" him/her.......EVEN if the Haitian has money coming out of his/her ears. (Granted, I know there HAVE to be a few out there).

How many high class Dominican women have you seen with a "morenazo", Haitian or whatever?.

GOT HANDSOME DOMINICAN MALE? brother its all about prefrence
You are absolutely correct, it's all about preference.........

But the funny thing is that MOST Dominicans would prefer NOT to be labeled and being around, dating and/or marrying a Haitian, WILL get you labeled...........

And if it happens that the Haitian is illegal, TE JODISTE because in many cases, even your own family will turn their backs on you........

The last statement I've seen with my own two eyes.......and they don't lie to me.

Quoting Cartoons to prove a point?......yeah, that's the way it should be done.

Please have no worries, being labeled "handsome" will not happen to you.......

Or me, perhaps, for that matter. JAJAJAJA.

I hope you are trying to disagree with the fact that MANY Dominicans LOOOOOOOOOOOOVE to label people, even though MOST don't like to be labeled. (ESPECIALLY those uneducated and/or from poor barrios).

A ton of them. I'm moreno and I've been with hundreds of High class Dominican women with just the promise of a American Visa. I've had a few Brasilian, Cuba and even Afro-American friends who landed several high class dominicans using the same ruse. Two just got married this past summer. These women will date, sleep with or marry anyone they think has money or who will get them out of the Dominican Republic. Haitian, Brasilian, Cuba, American whatever.

Gimme a break!

In fact, If it was a Dominican man, he'll sleep with anyone man or woman to get a visa outta the D.R.. Mira got out did'nt he?

brazil, this is a dialogue about the frequency of heterosexual relationships between Dominicans and Haitians.

I agree. Believe me if they are desperate and motivated to get laid for a green card, they are not or no longer belong to the high class category or simply the perpretator just can't tell the difference between class and tramp and I would lean towards the later.

Like USADR said, it's like not we're talking about women when talking about 'brasil' anyway.
