Well, I found it very sad Goulet was banned, he was a great contributor, I am sure people on both side would liked DT to reconsider.

firstly, i am curious to find out what he said, or did. i know my old buddy, and he will be back , someday. GC, we miss you already. we must have had a thousand fights, but you fought for the fun of it. stay well, amigo.

He had the most posts here, close to 13,000 and I for one would love to know what happened.

I too hope they let him back on the boards. He and I lived on St. Croix during the same time period and I am certian he and I killed some brain cells together. Whatever he did DT should reconsider the banning and maybe just make it a "slap on the wrist".

I thought GC had posted a number of times post-banning? Are we sure it isn't some sort of warning?

I'll admit when I first arrived I thought GC was little more than an obstructionist joker ... but to his credit GC does seem to keep his commentary out of convos where his glib humor would interrupt exchanges around sensitive Dominican topics, what he would call our 'foodfights'. Still it was almost guaranteed GC's ribbing and retorts would fill up the opening 'stanza' of every article's thread and thus set the tone of derision that fills our convos. So though GC is nowhere near the most obnoxious or prickly of our posters he isn't an innocent joker either.

If as suggested he was banned over comments re: Hipolito Mejia then that is truly shameful. Dirt is smeared all over the name of the sitting president after all...

I just filled out and sent the "contact us" form at the bottom of each page. On the form I asked that they reconsider his banning. I would think that if everyone did it they might just do it.
