On the Manny issue, I agree , a top talent he is.....but why do you call him ignorant? I would say La Negra Pola was ignorant, but I dont think you can say that about Manny... in fact , I think he is pretty smart!

People tend to think that people they dont like are all kinds of negative things which may or may not be true. It is just a projection of their feelings! For e.g. I hate O'Reilly and have called him stupid on occasions, which he obviously isnt.....

But I would find it interesting to see what you base your assesment of Manny's ignorance is./....

My cousin was telling me yesterday that he had heard that Manny didn't want to play for the Dominican team because supposedly the manger, Alou, gives preferential treatment to certain players. I don't know if that's true or not but in the second game there was a situation were Alou sent his son in to pinch hit when he had much more proven and fresh talent on the bench availbale to him. Has anybody else heard any talk about this?

I havent heard that particular complaint about Don Felipe, but he carries great credentials as a manager, and I have to believe that all managers have their 'carita', its a natural human thing!

Definitely human nature but if you're not bringing up the best guy from the bench when the situation calls for it then you're not doing your job correctly. But again I'm not saying that's necessarily the case with Alou, only that I've heard as much from the rumor mills.

About Ramirez ignorance, let's just say it's my opinion but I must tell you that if you spend 20 minutes talking to him, unless very "calm and collected", you'll know what I am talking about.
