His attempt was very early on in Trujillo's regime, and the fame (or infamy) of people like him has been opaqued by that of others like the Mirabal sisters. BTW, in my opinion, and this only my opinion, his name shouldn't be mentioned on the same paragraph the Mirabal sister's name was mentioned.

Oh wow, small world! My mother and her family lived in Villa Consuelo for many, many years! They lived on la calle Oviedo and one of my uncles lived on la Dr. Tejada Florentino. I used to love going to Cafeteria Pepin right by RTVD and the first Reposteria Vinicio on la Peña Batlle right in Villa Consuelo, best Dominican cake ever! Ah, Good Memories!
