From all the research that I have done, I believe that this is the farthest relative that I can trace Manuel Peralta, también nacido en la década del 1750 casó con Antonia Báez. Im going to dig out the family tree I have in storage and figure it out. If any of you guys stop by the cemetary in La Cuesta, you can find all these last names in there as well as some very old tombs. Take a walk there and you might find one of your relatives there. Both my parents are from San Jose De La Matas (Santiago) from un campo llamado Corocito. Both of them! And to make matters even less interesting and varied, they're distant relatives for 3 of my 4 grandparents are Rodriguez! Geez! My mom's maternal grandfather is Cerda and Jimenez, Jaquez, Torres and Espinal are other surnames that I am aware of. |

Being a Perez in DR is like being a Smith in USA, whereas being Torres is like being a Brown. Edited on 2/13/2010 12:50 PM by cyberdragon. |

All it means is that they both had ancestors that lived in/near a tower, Spain has alot of those. Chango ta' veni. |

I doubt me and this person are related, but there's always a chance. |
