GIZMO This is going to be an ongoing problem as time passes by. The tourist industry is important and the local authorities, police and goverment officials are responsible in making sure that tourists are safe in the country. It's high time already the Dominican goverment should start organizing the military and enforce and protect the border, build a wall and massively deport the scourge of illegals coming from Haiti PRONTO!!!!!

Exactly gizmo. We can’t afford to lose our tourist industry. we got a record number last year more and more tourist came to our Quisquella la bella by far than any country in the Caribbean way over 3 million. This bad news will resonate around the world. When was the last time a tourist got killed in a tourist town in our country? Our govt need to wake up and see for what is happening. The Haitian when they get thru the border knows beforehand from somebody where the money is. They usually settle down in tourist town or rich gated urbanization in house half done. They bring all their misery with them to tourist town. Many of these tourists get a big turn off when they see how these people lives and never come back again. Let alone now that they are resorting to atracar our tourist. This is not good.
