the fuss is PERSONAL because you insist on being a pompous prick, like you are the chosen prophet of negritude here to enlighten us with your cut/paste jobs. it is too bad, there are glimmers that you could be an interesting and challenging member of the forum, but your arrogance and your loud & clear dislike of Dominicans make it so you can barely post without being offensive. you have chosen the entirely wrong approach to spread information.

You guys want civil discussion, but what it on your own subject, your own terms. No opposing view points. You cry like "girlie" men to the site adminstrator about being hurt and offended. Toughin up and be the men you claim you are.

I'm here in the D.R. working, not on any sex mission. About my "former" website. It was sold years ago. I did'nt need to search for anyone to be posted on the website, they came to me. I'm Brasilian, we do'nt search for women, they are drawn to us. Which is why we are 200 million strong after some 400 yrs and the D.R. is simply 9-10 million strong.

Anyway, lets stay on topic. I simply want to know if there is a museum in the D.R. which is didicated to African ancestry in the D.R.? All the wise cracks and other comments is unnecessary.

1)Why was Brazil among the last to officially abolish slavery? Why were they the last to abolish the actual practice of slavery (which lasted much longer)?

2) Why are blacks or anyone of Afroadmixture practically absent in Brazilian television? Looking at Brazilian television is almost like looking at Portugese programming.

3) Why does Brazil hold one of the biggest gap between rich and poor?

4) Why did Brazil have an official blancamiento immigration policy to breed blacks out of existense?
____________________________________________________________________________
1. Why did African Americans who immigrated to Liberia discriminate against the native Africans?

2. Why did African Americans set up a caste like system in Liberia in which they actively excluded native Africans from political power?

3. Why did African Americans insult/denigrate and basically dehumanize native Liberians? To the point that descendants of African Americans are called Americo-Liberians?

Don't even try to come here with any arrogant posturing you race obsessed troll, when it comes to race relations Brazil doesn't hold a candle to DR. Get off your imaginary high horse, your low level trolling and layman/wikipedia knowledge won't work here.

BRASIL IS THE MOST RACIALLY MIXED COUNTRY IN THE WORLD. A PERSON OF AFRICAN DESCENT IN BRASIL WITH FEATURES SIMILAR TO HAITIANS COULD EASILY BE SEEN WITH A WHITE BRASILIAN AND IT WILL NOT BE A SHOCK TO ANYONE.

I HAVE YET TO SEE, IN 11 YEARS IN THE D.R. A MULATTO or WHITE DOMINICAN WITH A HAITIAN OR ANY Dark skinned Dominican AT ALL. and WHO CARES IF ABOUT PUBLIC OFFICES. MAYBE NOBODY WANTED TO RUN FOR OFFICE, BUT I CAN TELL you MILLIONS OF WHITE BRASILIANS HAVE DATED DARKER SKINNED brasilians OR BRASILIANS WITH AFRICAN FEATURES SIMILAR TO HAITIANS.

ABOUT ABOLISHING SLAVERY, IF YOU HAD MILLIONS OF PEOPLE WHO LOOKED LIKE HAITIANS IN YOUR COUNTRY WORKING FOR FREE WOULD YOU ABOLISH THE PRACTICE THAT ENABLED THIS TO BE? nope, I would'nt.

AHAHHAHAHA Most of the Dominicans I know date Central Americans, white girls and any light skinned hispanic, never have I seen a dominican american of any race/color date a black or even brown skinned person!

Hey, you can't assume race is the reason, though. I haven't seriously dated a Dominican women since I was in my late teens becuase, and this is just my own observation based on personal experiences, many of them are gossip mongers. I can't stand that and it has turned me off to my nation of origin's women some time ago. In the last few years I've been meeting some genuine paisanas but too little, too late A young lady of South American extraction has me in her clutches! Bottom line is we can never assume.

I did'nt see this comment before, but I thought I needed to respond to it. I'm tired of you male Dominicans thinking you are all tough. Let me run this info by you "girlie" men one more time. But before I do that, here you go. Plaza Rosada Local 12 (3th office at the left side) Las Terranas-Semana Peninsula, Dom. Rep. 809 241 5159.

I'm not from Spain, Holland, Germany, Canada. I am Brasiian-American. Born in the fevelas of Sao Paulo, Brasil. Tough and unafraid of anyone, especially a Dominican male. I have been visiting or living on and off in the country for 11 yrs. Every Dominican that his disrespected me or a member of my famliy has been "knock-out" cold. Dominicans are punks. And I have the long record of knockouts against them to prove it.

I'm here and so are 6 of my fellow U.S. Marines and U.S. Border Patrol Compadres. Not to help me, but to make certain its a fair battle. Leave your machete at home, we Americans are'nt cowards and we Brasilians do'nt play any games. Just ask Argentinans, Colombians, Paraguayans, and everyone else who land we have taken. Please hurry, I will only be here until Saturday. My birthday by the way.

The irony of calling us 'girlie men' when you come from a place that's full of closet homos and trannie queens. l

homos yes. in the closet, NO. They have been knocked out too. How many of them are found killed everyday in Brasil. Dominican Republic is known the world over for a place to visit to find male sex partners. www.worldsexachives.com (dominican link) see what the millions of european tourist have to say about Dominican men and while you are at it, you can see what every european country has to say about Dominican African ancestry. In the million of posts and comments here they refer to dark or as you say "indio" dominicans as "BLack". Descendants of African slaves.

I went to school in Spain for 2 years, even in Spanish history books, they comment that millions of African slaves were imported to the Carribean, with Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico and Cuba as the main ports in that order. I am continuing my mission here and will not let you "girlie" men disrupt what I am trying to accomplish. I think I am on to something that has been hidden from dominicans for years. I may start that website after all.

You are probably recruiting big Haitian sanky panky's out there in Samana, for your numerous porno sites. Didn't you also said that you were working in the US embassy in Santiago? What is it?
To go on a long trip to Samana looking for a ghost that is probably non-existent is not very wise,
Six queens and a TV seems to be just about the right odds, against me, troll. If we Dominicans are punks, you sure like it here, since your infatuation with all things Dominican and coming to celebrate your birthday, Do I ask for Richard Pires at the front desk? There seems to be no answer.

thank you generoso, means a lot coming from yourself. the problem with forums is those who:

have 'googled' this or that, or
read an entry in a free tourist guide called the CIA World Factbook, or
read on wikipedia some list of racial castes and internalized it

then wonder why we call them trolls when we respetfully disagree with their rants and they reply with more googling or with COMMENTS FROM YOUTUBE.

I agree, it was a good analysis. I would only add that regarding the slave trade, the Portugese were up to their necks from the very beginning 1400's/1500's), the English then dominated in later years up until the ending of it.

true USADR, I don't want to let the other Europeans off the hook. the French were clearly not slouches in this realm either, and they reaped what they sowed next door.

also no one should interpret what I said as exonerating Spaniards. a large part of the history of Santo Domingo is a testimony to their terrible administration of the Caribbean. it simply happens that because of the different approach and culture they brought to imperialism the story of Africans in DR is different (not better or worse) than in much of the rest of the Caribbean, including the other Greater Antilles. Just as the story of Africans in Haiti is different from everywhere else.

I know it is hard to believe for those in the Cosmic Cult of Pan-Africanism but blacks in all corners of the Diasporas can have their own local story and historical past just like white Europeans in different corners of this hemisphere have their own local story and historical past

BUT WHITES ARE ALWAYS CALLED SUCH!!! ONLY DOMINICANS AND PUERTO RICANS SAY "indio" WHEN MY EYES SEE BLACK, DESCENDANT OF AFRICAN SLAVES.

I'm here buddy, you can be assured of that one. And the training excercise I'm attending is in Santo Domingo, not Santiago. Maybe if you can afford a private plane , you can fly around the D.R. like us. Or perhaps if you could have Military friends here you could pull some strings and have a helicopter escort. But you are a Dominican nobody masquerading as a dominican elite.

Do'nt ask for "Richard", thats a "girlie" name , ask for Daniel Pires. Maybe you will get a response then, if I have time to talk to a "girlie" men. I 'm here to get answers, not jealous responses. By the way, I am not staying in Plaza Rosada, one of closest friends owns the place. I stop by here only to use his computer to stir up you guys. Like I said, I'll be here in the area until Sat.

Hurry up, cause I'm tired of wearing this Brasilian cap to help you guys identify me. I took the shirt and shorts off earlier. You have my foto, my name and my plans. So come make my day.

Oh now you are not in Plaza Rosada?, Oh my, you move around sooooo muuuuch. So many parties and so many sankies, big muscular Haitian He Hombres.
You are a fraud, and a BS artist. You are not a man. You are full of it, sankie panky.
Show your face for real and give some real coordinates instead of being a braggadoccio. And lying all the time. It is about time a real man teach you a lesson, and mop the floor with your ugly face, mariconcita.
You will be in Santo Domingo then? We'll why don't you tell us where? MITOMANO.
