Some of us on this site may be of help Thank you. Someone suggested I used google to research your country. I am not sure if it was said jokingly I want to know everything. I can google "Dominican Republic" on google; but there is no substitute for "live" interaction. I read some of comments posted and (please do not be offended); but some of them come across as a bit racist and ignorant. I am sure that was not the intention; but that it was how it came across. Also, Santo Domingo city is abbreviated most of the time as SDQ and Puerto Plata as POP. If you so wish. At least there may be fewer misunderstandings.... For instance: "I like to be in the Dominican." always prompts me to ask: "I see.
