Capitalism doesn't work. Chinese are returning to coutryide.
World doesn't need so many teddy bears or bears and stearn for that matter.
It needs health services, free or low rent houing, more local food production, more to pigs eat and less overweight fat capitalist pigs!
Rear some pigs from scrap food and have a pig roast ( free ) in your neigborhood:

This must be better than feeding the fat cat investors in Pizza Hut!
You can give a pig to someone who needs it, in socalist Bolivia for example!

Huge reduction in poverty so people can afford higher prices. Higher demand and more free money does tend to increase prices. Efforts now to increase production. Also more manufactured foods such as pastas for a richer diet as wealth increases.

A 30% increase in minimum wage (which is what most of the country makes) does in no way increase purchasing power if inflation in food products alone, is 46%. Even with new math extraplolated however you wish it is a deficit of 16% in value of monies earned. Hardly worthy of hearalding the benefits of socialism. With the closing of avenues to obtain foreign currencies for re-investment needs (machinery, technology etc.) production of goods produced in Venezuela has fallen. In your articles as the ones quoted before it states the intention of wishing to increase production. One would think that after 10 years in office the government could have figured out a way to do that insted of the constant slide to the negative whereas they import 90% of all products needed to produce "Venezuelan Made Products"

Article from another newspaper of today which shows the price of sardines are through the roof. Official selling price as dictated by the government is BsF.2.24 but real selling price in the market place is BsF. 10.00 (78% difference)

An article from the Director of the Banco Central de Venezuela (official government state bank) in which he laments the poor decisions made by the government in nationalizing industries that turned a profit before the government took them over and are now losing millions.

As far as giving the landless to create farms for increased food production, that took place in 2003 when he closed Vestry and divided up all lands farmed by them to over 1000 families. To this date the "collective" has produced nothing that contributes to the local or national economy as they have no money to invest in cattle, pigs, crop seedlings, or seeds. In 2003 (under Chavez) 4000 tons of seed potatoes were imported from Peru and all were sold at market as food instead of planting them.

State of payments to suppliers of PDVSA. PSVSA IS the cash cow for Venezuela. What happens to them indicates what happens to the country.

Hmm, checkout the high levels of obesity among the "fat welfare pigs" and the poorer people! And the upper middle and upper classes must eat less as there is far less obesity among them….kind of messes with your warped, biased view….

William,

Food for thought.

"Capitolism is where man takes advantage of his fellow man, in Socialism and Communism it is just the opposite."-Author not known.

“One of the consequences of such notions as "entitlements" is that people who have contributed nothing to society feel that society owes them something, apparently just for being nice enough to grace us with their presence.” Thomas Sowell

“The inherent vice of capitalism is the unequal sharing of blessings; the inherent virtue of socialism is the equal sharing of miseries.” - Winston Churchill

“Socialism is workable only in heaven where it isn't needed, and in hell where they've got it”-Cecil Palmer
