Annual inflation rate in Venezuela is over 30%, the largest increase in over 12 years (Chavez is entering his 11th year as president). The government controls, imports, production, MERCALS (subsidized food stores), currency exchange, price controls for goods sold and this has still happened, how can that be. Every good Socialist knows thats not the way its supposed to work !

Trying to stick to the thread topic here but I could not resist. Go to your local supermarket and buy an all vegetarian diet for a full week, they go buy a normal diet for a full week. The vegetarian is more expensive!! True vegetarians are condiserably "skinny" compared to most but I do not see them dying in the street because of the lack of protein.
