I have been extremely busy. I have done nothing to ABC, he is who he is, and believes that Socialism is the answer and holds an avid hatred for the US and its way of life. Yes Chavez won his change in election laws but probably the most important factor in his win is that the abstentions as a form of prostest is what brought about this "win" . While the vote passed 54% to 46% most news organizations are not mentioning that over 36% of the electorate DID NOT VOTE as a form of protest. Now I dont care what country you are in, if you do not participate in the vote its your fault the result turned out the way it did. I wish them all good fortune and I hope the fully come to grasp the consequence of their actions. I have said as much to my wifes family WHO DID NOT VOTE .

Texas:

I agree with you wholeheartedly, at least contrary to others , you do accept that the election was not tinkered with and there was major fraud.

I'm also surprised at the % of abstentions (36%), That means that 64% of the electorate voted, compared to the US that is high, would you happen to know what the average voting percentage is for Venezuela?

Texas:

What I wanted to grasp was if the turnout for this (Ven) election was higher or lower than to previous elections.....to see if there was a abstention protest.. which in democratic terms is rather foolish, because that is waht elections is all about.. nosotros decimois, el que calla otorga.

Lets just wish our venezuelan compadres the best!

This past election for the US was record breaking , as I've been told.. .. the US turnout has never been this high!!

You know I have been reading all the inputs people have put on this web and to me it is just people wanting to complain. I have a adjustable morgage and I pay the increase along with housing my Daughter and her husban since they lost their home when building shut down. I am a retired 74 year old science major of which I have now designed a complete Ethanol plant and I am going to places to introduce the possibility to be oil free and produce your own fuel for your heat of the home and the car and if you have a diesel I have designed the plant to make biodiesel. Some times in the situation we have here in the USA it brings people together like in a war of which this is an ecomomic war. Stop complaining and build something that will help. I hear racism and in the news every day it states how many are out of work and on the TV and Radio. This does nothing but cause people that have no drive to just sit and wait but if you do something and create you are helping in some small way. You can collect alum cans or make a garden and grow your own food or fuel if you have some knowledge along with trying to help your neighbor or possibly do something like give some of your sitting time to help people in some way. This problem is like in the 30s of which I am knowledgeable of.
So try to do something and stop complaining. Work for helping even though you are not making money and keep busy and take your mind off of the situation. This is the cure.

Surely this is good news - Cities like London, Frankfurt etc. have high living costs. Workers get good health services, absolute right to housing, high minimum wage, pensions etc,. This reflects in the cost of goods and services. In US cities people live in tent cities, have poor medical service and low minimum wage, So, good Vennez is making progress. Some of these indices are stupid anyway including taxi fares where there is good public transport, imported undesirable products such as MacDonalds.

XYZ, could perhaps tell us where these various tent cities are? Maybe some pictures? And I LIKE McDonalds! No country with McDonalds has ever declared war on the USA.

There are small victories against MacDonalds but countries should tax very highly!

Another 5th. column hack from the US subsidised press in Venez. He falls by his own argument - if Venez was like Hitler's Russia he would have been stopped spreading his poison a long time ago.
Press freedom lasted only 12 months after Hitler rose to power.
Venez is a peace lovng state and making progress:

The main need is to cut imports now: No new cars could be imported except for the Nano from India.

A consignment could be bartered for few tankers of oil.
Discipline on imports is essential for emerging nations.
