An article in the El Universal newspaper of Caracas thta shows the runaway inflation and in percentage points by category. Even after a decade in power with full support of the puppet congress, stuffing the supreme court he still can not get it right. I find it curious that healthcare is mentioned there as having increased over 36% yet is is supposed to be provided for by the Government.

Having the American government give out handsome subsidies to your group never recieved by any other immigrant group that has arrived on these shores doesn't hurt either. The Cubans seem to forget how they got to where they are in this country. They have actually created an ethos for themselves that somehow has eliminated the role of the American government in the establishment of their community's current state and somehow feel themselves to be in a position where they can sermonize on personal responsibility and what it takes to get ahead in life. Give me a break.

Stop Assuming how my Family came to the US.

My Father emigrated to the US in 1949 10 years before Fidel. Not that it matters as my Father was a Spanish Citizen.
My Mother arrived in 1950 and she was a dual national.

I am the son of immigrants not refugees nor ilegals.

BTW Cubans are escaping a Muderous Dictatorship.
Mexicans, Nicaraguans, Hondurans, Guatemalens......and Particularly DOMINICANS are not!

I've never seen any documentation of large numbers of cubans fleeing their native soil when the murderous despot Batista was in power so spare me from your rhetoric. It's old and tired.

If Batista was a Murdering Despot then we wouldn't have Fidel would we?

BTW I know all about the Domincan Menatlity.
I have lived there. I have done business there. I own property there. I have Family there.

Now we are defending Batista. Don't go there. There is ample documentation that is easy to get a hold of that sheds plenty of light as to what kind of regime was headed by Batista. That Fidel didn't get killed was probably due to Fidel's ties to some of Cuba's elites then to any benevolence from Batista that you're alluding to so stop it. Try that crap with someone who has no sense of history and maybe it'll fly.

All you have is a personal opinion and nothing more. That and a dollar fifty will get you a cup of coffee (I had to adjust for inflation). But then it begs the question: Why are you so immersed in a people you have more than obvious disdain for?

I like to help the handicapped....like you.

Thank you for the wonderful insight into your true colors and personality. I guess the "C" in AnthonyC stands for "cares".

Oh I care.

I care that the Cuban people are suffering under a Dictator that is 100 X worse than Batista.

I care that some people actually defend Fidel.

I care that the DR is lead by Idiots leading idiots.

I care that no country can advance until it's people accept responsibility.
