Their tracking website almost never works, and if it does it is NEVER up to date ! 2.) When the Fuel prices went through the Sky a bout 6 month ago, CPS adjusted (rised) their prices on a daily bases. Know, the gas prices are down for several month, they are still charging additional Fuel costs like 6 month ago. 3.) They advertise with 2 $US per libra + tax for shipping from miami to SD. Incl. all their additional charges and fees and bla bla bla you pay almost 5 bucks for a libra. 4.) CPS English....next day delivery = means 4 days or even more ! PLEASE JOIN THIS DISCUSSION AND LET ME KNOW IF I AM THE ONLY ONE WHO FEELS F... What experiences do you have with this company ? |

We'll I've never used CPS but I've heard good things from other firends that use it, but I can't tell you about first hand experience. I use EPS and they also charge for fuel and other customs services, but normally I don't have any problems with them. Sometimes the charges were higher than normal, and sometimes I got charged for import taxes on items that are not charged, but not large ammouts. At the end of the day if you use a lot this services and sum up the real cost of customs that you are supposed to pay, It's still far cheaper than going to a shop and buying the stuff. I suggest if you are not happy with CPS, try EPS. As for trying to fix the issues with CPS, the thing that works best is just skip the over the counter employees and ask for a supervisor, explain him your issues and just tell them that you are going to have to go to other courier. I've donde this several times in EPS and if you are polite (and use their service a lot) they will hear you and sometimes lower your price for some shippings. DaniDR Living in the Paradise |

About their Website you are completely right; my local colmado probably has a better functioning one. Their additional fees are outraging. I switched to Aeropaq after the long delivery times of CPS became unbearable ! Like you mentioned, you pay for next day, and if you are lucky you get it after 4. Try Aeropaq or any other Service, CPS became to big, way to much Clients without adjusting their internal Infrastructure. Edited on 4/16/2009 12:44 PM by leonardo. |

I have no idea what happen to them, i am only still using them with a few US suppliers of mine when i don't have to care when my orders will arrive. Their Staff is very nice but somebody above already mentioned, they became to big and they have to much customers. They think they can do what ever they want. very sad |

When i asked for the tax receipt from "Aduana"... they could not provide it. After complaining to customer Support, they instantly removed the 500 RD$ from my bill. You think if they really would have paid taxes on my item they would have let it go so fast ??? Another thing that bothers me for ever, if your spipment weights 1,1 Pound they charge you for 2, if it weights 4.2 they charge you for 5 etc. etc. In addition i have to agree with all the posts above. CPS used to be a good company... used to be ! |
