The Cibao Valley - Constanza

A amazing weather occurrence that happened in the mountain town of Constanza in The winter of 2006/2007.

Photographs by Isaac

These kind of scenes in the Dom Rep are almost rare enough to be a once in a lifetime occurrence.

Jarabacoa has three large rivers, Baiguate, Jimenoa and the Yaque del Norte, the last two merge in the Confluencia, continuing on as the Yaque del Norte, the second largest rivers in the country.

SALTO BAIGUATE: This nearly 200-foot-high Waterfall is hidden among a thick mix of pine and tropical foliage and has a natural pool at the base.

The waters of the Jimenoa River create this spectacular waterfall. At the bottom of the cascade is an irresistible enormous natural pool.

Higher Salto Jimenoa is one of the highest waterfalls in the region – and so spectacular that it appeared in a scene in the movie Jurassic Park.
