Your comments show the contrary, my friend! well that makes you judgemental then, and you need to check yourself. what have i shown that proves to you that i fear gays? you cant just sit here an accuse me of something that you have no proof of. if you actually read all of my comments you would understand me more. by the way all i said was that this was a political website not a gay one. lets start from scratch here. |

Doesn't that make you look like a homophobic? Obvously yes because you are not welcoming this thread in DT!! I think what Mirabal meant to say that Eriliza is that DT blogs are always going in a different direction than what its designed purpose. I do believe that this movement in DR is for the better so i agree that i should be posted here as it concerns Dominicans; But you're also being a little too rough on Mirabal Great posting Eriliza thanks carlos franco i appreciate the writing. eriliza is learning quickly and has more than enough potential. |

Though Homophobia has it's root in the word for "fear", it is used largely to describe a dislike or hatred of homosexuality. |

I am not a homo fearing zealot.. i just define social development differentlly.... As for the gay/les thing, I think that instead of parading and/or promoting bars and cafes, they should make a respectable name for themselves , so that the community respects them..a la Harvey Milk... I do, but either way I can not condone the act. I'll defend as homosexual as readily against a homophobe as I would someone someone being attacked by a racist etc etc. I'm not an open armed hippy who says we have to be accepting of everything, hell I might sound downright insensitive and the such if you met me in person and we were comfortable. But I do not tolerate physically or verbally berating someone over these choices/lack there of. |

It depends for me on that point. Some might say they shouldn't have to adopt straight lifestyles. Or non-Whites adopting White mannerisms, whatever that means. For me I just don't enjoy identity politics and playing the ____ card. Live your life, make the most of it, don't infringe on anyone else and I don't care what you do. I think people getting disgusted by them showing public affection is silly. |
