RE: www huh?
goulet, i hope you are not advocating that guys should be allowed to build whatever they want to, wherever they want to, even if it destroys the environment. the cabarete assessment is not the work of a "door knob ". it is simple science. concrete retains heat, and makes for slower cooldown of the land. it is the relative temperature between the sea and the land which brings about the wind patterns for which cabarete is famous.

Dread your the expert on data and stats and I doubt if you could come up with a wind theory specific to this to support a suspension of development ....I personally find Cabarete cheesy anyway....There are better ways to control zoning...Starting with higher standards and better quality....I could care less to deprive a beer company from sponsoring Kite surfing ....did you see that idiot get dragged into the building in Floridas Fay check it out on You Tube

.... so, the officials could not care less what effects their actions have on the tourist industry....

And rightly so.
The investors are queuing up and pay almost any price for the land and are willing to dish out bribes, too.
No wonder 'gringos' are seen as milking cows and fools.
And then, the 'honourable families' from all over the world dump their 'hard earned' money here.

Oh, paradise... for all involved.

RE: Bienvenidos
GC, cabarete IS cheesy. i agree with that. and overpriced!! pequena beers for 100 pesos in any and every little watering hole. but it buzzes, because the young surfer dude crowds spend a lot of money, eat out a lot, and drink anything that will flow.it is not the cultural mecca of western civilization, but it serves its purpose. for a little hole in the wall, it brings in probably ten times the money that puerto plata does. and m'frog, you are on point, as usual. you probably know the kind of money people are asking for bungalows in cabarete, not to mention business locations, if you can get one. suckers game!!

Supposedly only.
Whereas in Western countries plots are sold with an infrastructure (road access, drinking water, electricity supply, TV-cable and telephone connection ports) Dominican beach front lots are sold with sand and 'jejenes'....
But as the demand is there, it's all in good order.
No problem.
Schools, roads and sewers?

Wow,

Something is fishy with this story!

You are looking for 50 million dollars for pain and suffering ha ha ha! You sir are as bad as the hotel you say ripped you off!

Chances are you owed the money! Who leaves there pregnant wife!

If you are such a high roller spending all this money on a wedding why not go to Casa de campo or a higher end hotel.

Sounds to me like you started the fight and then tried to justify your actions and stupidity!

Best of luck with the law suit

Just another drunken group of dumb asses if you ask me!
