Photo #6 clearly shows the monument. Anyways Santiago isn't only about the monument it has a lot else to see. Good eye Ateo, I missed it completely. However, it was so tiny and very far away, quite a distance no wonder I did not see it. And yes true, the monument is not the only thing about Santiago, but it is THE focal point of the city and visible from all four corners. It is like taking a picture of Paris without the Eiffel Tower, Leaning Tower of Pisa in Italy, Petronas towers in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and the Empire State Building in NY.
