Eriliza you must be a Civil Engineering major...............

Nope. A psychology and economics major with a minor in international relations. Nice try guessing though

No probably a major in 'duncehood' promoting these stupid pictures.

Importing all those cars and gasoline leads most people in the DR to poverty.

Buses, bus lanes, light railways, cycle tracks are the transport answer.

Why does 'E' promote poverty?

I think that highly organised charities are best equipped to tackle poverty. Also governments. If an area needs to develop farming with irrigation, agricultural education, sustainable housing etc then with the import of expertise major political awareness needs to develop.
I actually learnt this the hard way in the UK both in politics and undertaking roles in the most deprived communities in the UK.

Now I donate to charities that demonstrate their comprehensive approach.
I am unimpressed by many charities - I don't see the advantage in exporting babies from Cambodia for
example.
The debate will be long in this area - 'medicins sans frontiers' has engaged in this debate for years.
