I was thinking that a soft carrier, shoulder straps, with a collapaible plastic support would do the trick for him to fit under the seat, I know he would be OK for the 3.5 hour trip to the RD. Thanks, |

One time I saw someone with some poor dog literally crammed in one of those soft sided carriers. The dog was so big the thing hardly closed. The only time I have seen someone have a problem was when an individual tried to carry their dog in their purse, or a bit of an over-sized hand bag that did not close. The person made it through security and onto the plane and it was only when the dog refused to climb under the chair and lay there that the flight attendants kicked them off. I bet if you put the dog in a soft carry case and just carried it on you would be fine. The big key in my opinion is to just be discrete about the dog. Make sure the dog is used to traveling in the carrier and does not cause any fuss. Now, I should also say I have no idea about regs for flying with dogs and check-in, etc. In my opinion, if you dont have to show them the dog at the ticket counter you should be fine. ... hope that helps! ~ www.MovingtoDR.com Favorite Quote: “In the end, it is not the years in your life that count.
