I have heard that if you buy the pass for riu bachata, you can also go to riu mambo, and riu merengue. You will have working girls at both

I like Puerto Plata but after being in Samana... Samana is my new spot I have been to bahia principe in rio san juan... not too far from pop. It was ok for the price

The real Puerto Plata experiance is Sosua Everyone is there, but you wont go more than 5 minutes without someone trying to sell you something or braid your hair

Riu is the better choice. Its isolation is actually a blessing for you don't have a thousand vendors, whores, hatian hairbraiders, sankys, etc.....
Iberostar is owned by a bunch of thugs that stole most of the land the resort is on from families that had been there for centuries. Go to El Manguito Restaurant right next to it and ask its owner, Im sure if you are a sensible and just person, you'll never set foot in that disgrace of a hotel.
Samana is charming and one of my faves, go there instead.
