I often have a lot of expensive camera gear and on my last trip found the room safe to be a bit small. It was only about 6 by 8 inches. thanks. |

On the other questions: Dessicant packs and sealable plastic pouches are one solution. Corrosion is always possible and a dry atmosphere is better. Some type of lockable lightweight steel security box is possible look up in amazon. Also small high quality fibreglass box. Also a chain and lock and portable alarm is possible. Good camera shops don't exist for specialised equipment. Buy from Amazon and use courier or CPS - a parcel service. S. |

I will have to look at this light safe idea, I know a normal one would be difficult to bring in luggage. I guess the idea is to just make it hard to grab and run because anyone with time and motivation will get through any safe. Never thought of the chain idea though. Is CPS reliable? I mean could I expect to see the products within a reasonable time if I was staying for a few months? I have heard horror stories! thanks. |
