I was late once checking in on a domestic flight to NY and by maybe a few minutes, but there was still one hour before the flight left. But they would not check me in and was told I needed to wait for the next flight which was six hours later. I asked 3 different agents for an accomodation and everyone refused. Not willing to take no for an answer, I finally approached and asked a white American agent, who by his demeanor appeared to be gay and asked for assistance. I don't know what he did, but he called some one on his radio, did something on the computer and accommodated my request and was finally able to fly right out on time. But God, how they made me sweat and difficult they made it for me. I knew all along that I could get on that flight, there was still sufficent time to get on but for some reason they all wanted to give me a hard time. That is my experience, but I have heard similar stories from friends and relatives.

Unfortunately they havn't opened the DR - Miami area route to World Class airlines yet so Spirit is approximately as good as it gets.

what planet do you live on?i have flown Miami to Santo Domingo many times, and never on some roach coach airline like Spirit.
