I will be working as a dance teacher for RCI Visison of the Seas sailing from Santo Domingo on Feb 15. I am scheduled for a flight into Santo Domingo on Feb 14. Would appreciate suggestions on accomidations close to the cruise terminal.

There are several hotels..... it will depend how much are you willing to pay for..... i recomend you to post this question in this site http://dr1.com/forums/

All depends what you need (price, comfortable, luxury).. but I would suggest you go to www.emelytours.com.do where you can find many hotels in Santo Domingo city.

Close to the Sans Souci terminal you can find Napolitano, V Centenario, Jaragua ($$ very expensive), Meliá, Hispaniola (but all of them are in front of the sea) .. if you go to an inside hotel you would find better prices..

Also you can go to this link:

and place "hotel" in the empy field, and Santo Domingo in LOCALIDAD field... there you will find a lot of hotels.
