SANTO DOMINGO. - The Environment Ministry announced that charge the opposition party senator Dagoberto Rodriguez and to others accused of ravaging zones bordering on Enriquillo Lake.

Environment minister Max Puig said in a press conference that the legislator has destroyed trees and caused other damages to the ecology, with the pretext that he did it in lands of his property.

The official added that those areas, however, are part of the protected area of the Enriquillo Lake National Park.
