Foreign ministers from 34 nations will be here from June 2 to 6
SANTO DOMINGO.- As of this weekend Dominican Republic will become the continent’s center of political attention, with meetings of the Central America Integration System (SICA) and of the Organization of American States (O.A.S.), to be held in this country.
For June 2 and 3 is slated the Extraordinary Meeting of Heads of State and Government of the SICA Countries and the 2nd Summit on the Mesoamerican Power Initiative, in Casa de Campo, La Romana, in the country’s East.
Present in the activities will be the presidents and Heads of State from Mexico, Colombia, Costa Rica, Panama, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Bélice, and Dominican Republic as host country.
Immediately after, from the 4th to the 6tj will begin in the Dominican Republic’s Foreing Ministry, the 37th Organization of American States (O.A.S.) General Assembly, with the presence of Foreign minister from 34 countries of the hemisphere. The Foreign Ministry is responsible for both international conclaves.
In the last 10 years 21 meetings of organizations and initiatives of the O.A.S. have been held in the country.
