Zoom Picture

SANTO DOMINGO.- In the previous Administration, the management of the Dominican energy conglomerate (CDEEE) granted to the Electrical Company of Puerto Plata 50 megawatts of the Madrid Agreement for a period of 12 years, to free itself from a contract which had just 2 years of validity left.

According to a report from the Government’s Renegotiating Commission, the idea was for the State to be released from this contract, which was assumed by the distributor Edenorte, then administered by the Spanish-based firm Union Fenosa.
