SANTO DOMINGO. - Civil Defense and the Emergency Operations Center (COE) on Sunday said the 43 people reported missing after the passage of Tropical Storm Noel have already been registered as dead, brining the official death toll to 125,  while Olga’s figures could still rise.

COE director Juan Manuel Mendez said the organization already issued the last bulletin on Noel and that the "case is closed."

"Those who didn’t already reappear at this level aren’t going to appear," he said and also denied that two bodies found in Pedernales (southwest) are from Noel. “An autopsy hadn’t been conducted on those corpses and the cause and time of death are unknown.”

Civil Defense director Luis Luna Paulino also said his organization works to prevent greater calamities from Olga, such as occurred with Noel, already more than one month ago.

Noel also left around 64,000 victims and more than 15,000 houses damaged, whereas the authorities say Olga killed 24 people.

He also denied that the deaths of 11 Haitians hadn’t been reported, though admitted that the identity of many of those dead isn’t known.

Why not, josean?
The government is the only organization capable of collecting statistics necessary to define the losses under the circumstances.
So, what is the point of your statement, other than to denegrate the Leonel Administration and to generally "point the finger of culpability"?
You really need to "clean up your act" with reference to "one sentence postings".
Keep them clean and offer solutions or firm causitive accounts. Otherwise, just don't post to see your "name in lights".
