SANTIAGO.- Another victim of the floods sparked by the North Yaque river’s waters is the loss of jobs, which, according to a census by business organizations in the province, reaches more than 3,500, as almost 50 companies and other smaller businesses were affected.

Among those companies figure tanneries, block and paper factories, as well as car dealers, provisions warehouses, cabinet shops, colmados, beauty parlors, cafeterias, restaurants, auto parts stores and others.

Among the groups which conducted the census is the provisions wholesalers association of Santiago, Amaprosan.
