I work for the Postal Service in the US. Does the Dominican Postal Service deliver to the rural areas such as San Cristobal or only in the larger cities ? I've always had to use the extremely expensive FedEx to get gifts or documents to relatives in the San Cristoal area.

Last time I sent a package to DR using regular mail, I was almost certain it got lost/stolen when it hadn't arrived 5 months later... surprisingly enough, they got it on the 6th month. heh, at least it got there...
