BANI.- Police gneral Rafael Bencosme Candelier, a member of the commission that investigates the August 4 death of seven Colombians in Paya, Bani, revealed that more civilians and military linked to the crime will be arrested.
He said all of the masterminds still haven’t been detained for the crime, in which so far almost 20 people, civilians and military, have already been arrested.
“We have successfully advanced and we have obtained the greater collaboration and integration with all Police and Armed Forces investigators, as well as the Dominican Government, to take this investigation until the ultimate consequences.”
Bencosme spoke Wednesday morning after leaving the office of the Peravia province prosecutor, where it went joined by Police chief Rafael Guzmán, to deliver the results of the investigation of the Navy officers and a petty officer implicated in the murders.
Yesterday the lieutenant Jorge Luis Chalas, the ensign Andres Tapia Balbuena and petty officer Enmanuel Roche Pineda were sent to 18 months in prison pending the outcome of the invstigation.
