the Navy should be concentrating on this kind of tragedy instead of selling and importing drugs

There is no money to be made preventing these trips. There is, however, lots of money to be made by aiding and abetting this business. Drugs, yolas.........what's the difference to these thieves. They are just giving the people what they want.

GOOD. This is the only way some people will learn, that these trips are extremelly dangerous. Same with the ones living near rivers, they will listen authorities alerts more carefull.

The weather to cross the Mona Passage from the 18th to the afternoon of the 20th was especially good for a yola (ESE 10+ knots and 2-4 foot seas). They either made it, got intercepted by the USCG, or worse, by the DRCG or others who like to loot the balseros.
