Bani and San Cristobal: Two cases, chilling similarities.
Zoom Picture

SANTO DOMINGO.- Just weeks after the September 5 underworld executions of seven Colombians in Paya, Baní, new evidence emerges on a prior and similar case attributed to drug trafficking’s reach in the Dominican Republic, whose territory is already part of its bloody dominion and transnational operations.

The violent episode went almost unnoticed and although at least five corpses were found in the crime scene, the case was forgotten without much explanation and little more than a police blotter.

The execution took place March 30 in the mountain village Hato Dama, San Cristóbal (south), where two corpses were initially reported  found with signs they had been executed within a SUV.

Shortly after Police determined that it was four and then five soon after, when just the skull of another victim turned up in the area.

The case is still in pending, although Rafael Bencosme Candelier, one of the most famous police investigators headed the probe, little information has surfaced, other than reports that the first two bodies are the Colombians Juan Pablo Suárez Betancourt, 46, and Iván Suárez Araújo (Fido).

The victims were executed and later thrown down a ravine in a Mitsubishi Montero SUV.

Amid the two spectacular cases the authorities reported murders of two here and three there, “presumably linked to drug trafficking.”

The reason behind the bloodbaths is known by all entities in the region that wage the war on drug trafficking, the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) and the National Drugs Control Agency: Colombian and Venezuelan narcotics traffickers have chosen the Dominican Republic as their favorite bridge to reach the United States and Europe.

PLD is a party made out of many people that don't have masculine testosterone to achieve goals like real men.

Too much reading, bla, bla and diplomatic BS and at the end nothing gets done, We need real patriotic men to govern and guide us not feminine guys that don't have "COJONES"

Uribe, Chavez, Morales. Correa, Lula these are real leaders............

Leonal in Miami for investment talks: What he said to his contact in the Miami Herald...

"Why is all the guys here from Columbia"? "We don't want them to invest in the DR"!
"Don't they know we kill them after they bring me my pension supply"
Get rid of them now before I speak, or I will!

Legalize no never that, anyway the traffickers deal in large quantities not small time corner dealers.
I think they should oust the senators that have connection with dealers, get the combat planes and the raider to fight them. From what we have heard a lot of Colombians have been dying in DR do to the traffic. We should send articles to Colombia’s news papers, “you come here and you die”.

goulet...your right, I'm sure that there are other reasons that they keep it illegal. Maybe you could fill me in. If it's for social issues why not alcohol? I think that all substances that alter your natural state / perception should be illegal, caffine, nicotine, alcohol, any thing that has a nervous system stimulant or depressant including all over the counter sleep aids or diet pills. Otherwise it's just hipocrisy.

yes to varying degrees ...they are stuck with alcohol since the beginning of history it kills and ruins more lives than you can imagine but Methamphetamine labs in everyones basement also Cocaine psychosis from usage of that one also accidental deaths and number of dropouts due to Heroin addiction would have to be considered in any legalization
