They already found hundreds of millions and millions of dollars in silver and gold from what I read a few months ago and they are going to pull it out from the ocean now.

They will have to careful if it proves to be from a Spanish Crown ship. They have quite the habit of claiming cultural domain and property and fight pretty hard to have the items returned. I remember when the Atocha was found by Mel Fisher the lawsuits practicly put him in the poor house

It was the Concepcion who had a permanent presence of Dominican Navy personnel while they were doing the diving recovery in the banco de la Plata.
The naval officer I mentioned was retired Dominican admiral and hero ex-chief of the Dominican Hombres Rana (frogmen) Manuel Ramon Montes Arache.
I wanted to write a book with him about his exploits and manny scuttles with death but it didn't happen, to my regret.
I used to frequent Drake's pub a lot in the 80's as well. Knew the owners who lived upstairs.
