SANTO DOMINGO. – A Dominican fugitive wanted in the United States was arrested Thursday afternoon by Drugs Control (DNCD) agents, and will be extradited to New York to faces four counts of cocaine and heroin trafficking,
The antinarcotics agency is Jose Paulino, aka Jose Francisco Paulino, is wanted by the Office of the Prosecutor in New York’s East District Court. He was detained in his native San Francisco de Macorís (northeast).
Paulino’s detention took place after the Dominican Supreme Court issued a warrant for his arrest, said DNCD director Delgado Gilberto, who stressed the importance of the reciprocal collaboration between Dominican and US authorities in fighting crime, specifically drug trafficking.
