SANTO DOMINGO. – Brazil’s ambassador expects the Executive Branch will sign into law in the next few days the US$93 million loan to buy the eight Super Tucano attack planes made in his country.
Ronaldo Dunlop praised the Dominican Congress’ decision to approve the bill and the decision to buy those warplanes to fight drug trafficking.
He said the Dominican Air Force, via a previous technical study, determined that the Super Tucano can effectively intercept planes suspected of carrying drugs.
Various groups have objected the decision to acquire the combat craft, alleging that they wouldn’t contribute to eliminate drug trafficking.

A war may comprehend many objectives, you cannot accomplish any without a military objective completed.
Nam is a defeat depending on which historian you want to listen to, the US retreat was based on a treaty signed and later not followed by the North, just as much as they dont abide today. There is no country that would really be able to defeat the US in a conventional war, of course the nature of conflicts today is very dinamic, one of the reasons why I dont support the iraq war is because I believe the US is wasting the greatest military asset in history in iraq. Let's wait for history to judge the iraq invation. I dont have a lot of hope the US will ever be thanked for anything done in any theater, people forget rather quick and always will believe that the US interest is oil or other stupid reason.
