SANTO DOMINGO.- Twenty Dominicans will be tried in courts in Puerto Rico for trying to enter the United States illegally in at least two occasions, whereas 70 others were repatriated yesterday at La Romana, on board the United States Coastguard cutter Key Largo.

In a statement the Coastguard said the boatpeople were intercepted on Tuesday, whereas the crew of the cutter Chincoteague escorted the 20 migrants, to hand them over to agents of the Border Patrol in Añasco, Puerto Rico.

The Coastguard said they’ll be charged as repeat offenders for taking part in illegal crossings in at least two occasions.

I propose the death penalty for the organizers of the Yola trips, which are human traffickers,
and 100 years of prison to the yoleros, for bringing shame to our glorious country, where we have no electricity, no clean water supply, where very few roads are paved and each little bit of water inundates the houses due to lack of sewage and deficient water management, and where good education, health care or decent housing, are something only the priviliged few can afford.

Seriously: what can be done to fix our country? It is so sad our people keep doing this, and that our nation continues to live in conditions of let's say 300 years ago.

buenoha: spot on!!
Euromax: now I know I 'm not the blind one here! Work harder, get a better education, what the hell!!! Get rid of the govt. leaders first and the 1,000 plus of useless groonies from the civil service that are destroying this country. I'm not even going to mention the rank and file in the military/police. And unite in what way, everyone in the streets filling pot holes during the day as there are no lights at night or between the ears? My hats off those those caught in PR, if not a first you succeed, try try again!
